RIP Tony Sly

I don’t know what to say here. Tony was a really nice dude. Yes, he was a great songwriter and singer and player, but really and truly he was just a nice, unassuming guy, one of the honest-to-Pete good ones. Tony and No Use took us to Europe and Japan and those were some of the most incredible trips I’ve ever been on. This is a sad day. xoxoxox Hug the people you love.

Discovering No Use 12 years ago was the reason i got into punk and subsequently finding more awesome music, friends, and having great times. Forever grateful to Tony and No Use even though i never got to tell him. :(

xo Brendan, and thank you for everything too.

Without Tony and NUFAN I’d probably be playing guitar solos with sweep picking and all sorts of other Malmsteen-esque douchebaggery (like syncronized “rock” poses…scary).

Tony saved me from an almost certain career as a cover-band guitar player and I was never able to thank him.

Miss you, I hope you’re doing well.
